As the family medicine physician for Sage Health in North Little Rock, Dr. Kotapati strives to deliver better quality, preventive care, and overall compressive patient care. Dr. Kotapati practices evidence-based medicine, focusing on preventive medicine, delivering practical treatment for chronic and acute care needs. He is excited to join Sage Health to help ensure that seniors in North Little Rock could receive the care they deserve - comprehensive, coordinated, high-quality, and cost-effective primary care that puts the patient at the center of every conversation.
Experience:
Dr. Kotapati relocated to Little Rock, Arkansas, three years ago from Bellingham, Washington, where he worked as a family practitioner at a primary care medical group. Dr. Kotapati has been a faculty member and a medical director at the UAMS Neighborhood clinic for two years. He is passionate about taking care of patients, as well as teaching medical students. He is trained as a Family Medicine physician, is a member of the American Academy of Family Practice and a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians.
With a background in business management and information systems, Dr. Kotapati strives to integrate information technology with medical knowledge to enhance patient care and prevent medical errors. He is interested in obesity management, value-based care, population-based approach, chronic disease management, depression associated with chronic diseases, non-opiate pain management, and involvement in health care leadership/advocacy groups, behavioral health and office procedures.
Dr. Kotapati strongly believes in the importance of research in primary care. He has presented many research projects at national and international conferences, covering topics such as the chronic care model, preventing hospital readmission, reducing the risk of falls in the elderly and the effects of adverse childhood experiences on patient health.
While away from the clinic, he enjoys wildlife photography, hiking, camping, traveling, computer coding, spending time with his wife — (a family physician), their two wonderful daughters and their dog Buddy.

Dr. David D. Liu is a highly dedicated physician practicing geriatric medicine at the Little Rock Sage Health Center. As a team leader and physician, he is deeply committed to providing comprehensive care to seniors in the community. Dr. Liu joined Sage Health with great enthusiasm, aiming to ensure that elderly patients in Little Rock receive the holistic and high-quality care they deserve. He believes in a patient-centered approach that emphasizes coordination and cost-effectiveness.
Experience
With over 20 years of experience, Dr. Liu has developed expertise in geriatric medicine and memory disorders. He served as medical director of the longevity center and memory disorder center at St. Vincent Hospital for more than 15 years. Throughout his career, he has held various medical director positions in geriatric care settings, including geriatric hospital consultation, long-term care, geriatric rehabilitation hospitals, hospice, and assisted seniors care centers. Prior to his clinical work, Dr. Liu spent 5 years as a faculty member at the aging center of UAMS, contributing to academic research and education in geriatrics.
Dr. Liu is renowned for his passion for patient care and his commitment to teaching future doctors. He strongly believes in providing holistic care to individuals with complex health issues, combining the advancements of Western medicine with the principles of Oriental medicine. His exceptional contributions to geriatric medicine have earned him recognition as the best geriatrician in Arkansas and the prestigious Maureen Reagan Award in 2008, further solidifying his reputation as a world-class geriatrician.
