Dr. Kotapati practices evidence-based medicine, focusing on preventive medicine, delivering practical treatment for chronic and acute care needs. Experience:

Dr. Kotapati relocated to Little Rock, Arkansas, three years ago from Bellingham, Washington, where he worked as a family practitioner at a primary care medical group. Dr. Kotapati has been a faculty member and a medical director at the UAMS Neighborhood clinic for two years. He is passionate about taking care of patients, as well as teaching medical students. He is trained as a Family Medicine physician, is a member of the American Academy of Family Practice and a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians.

With a background in business management and information systems, Dr. Kotapati strives to integrate information technology with medical knowledge to enhance patient care and prevent medical errors. He is interested in obesity management, value-based care, population-based approach, chronic disease management, depression associated with chronic diseases, non-opiate pain management, and involvement in health care leadership/advocacy groups, behavioral health and office procedures.

Dr. Kotapati strongly believes in the importance of research in primary care. He has presented many research projects at national and international conferences, covering topics such as the chronic care model, preventing hospital readmission, reducing the risk of falls in the elderly and the effects of adverse childhood experiences on patient health.

While away from the clinic, he enjoys wildlife photography, hiking, camping, traveling, computer coding, spending time with his wife — (a family physician), their two wonderful daughters and their dog Buddy.

Dr. Manyam is a board-certified Family Medicine physician with medical expertise to provide comprehensive and personalized care to diverse patient populations, in both clinic-based and hospital settings. She firmly believes that being proactive is more effective than being reactive, this principle closely aligns with the core tenets of the value-based care model and is the decisive factor for her to join Sage Health. Anticipating patient needs, preventing potential issues, and managing health proactively before they escalate will not only improve individual health but also optimize resource use and reduce overall healthcare costs. Holding a Master’s in Public Health (MPH) with a focus on Epidemiology has equipped Dr. Manyam with a deep understanding of population health dynamics and the factors influencing health outcomes on a broader scale, which is the prime reason for her to choose Little Rock/North Little Rock area to offer primary care services.

Experience

Dr. Manyam is a distinguished graduate of the UAMS College of Medicine Family Medicine Residency program, where her excellence and dedication were recognized through numerous awards. Among her accolades are The Outstanding Professional TOP Award in Residency, the AFMRD and NAPCRG Family Medicine Resident Award for Scholarship, and the STAR Professionalism Award. In addition to her direct patient care, Dr. Manyam has significant experience teaching medical students and residents. This teaching experience has not only refined her ability to communicate complex medical concepts but also reinforced her commitment to evidence-based, patient-centered care. Her role in mentoring the next generation of healthcare professionals complements her clinical practice and enhances her ability to deliver high-quality care to her patients. She further enriched her expertise through significant research roles, including positions as a research assistant at UAMS, a research associate at Georgetown University Medical Center in Washington, D.C., and a research associate at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Outside of her professional life, Dr. Manyam enjoys a fulfilling work-life balance through various activities. She treasures quality time with her family and friends, especially during long road trips with her husband and two wonderful sons. Her commitment to personal well-being is supported by her active lifestyle, including jazzercise for fitness and a love for music.
